Ceasefire in Gaza is too good to be true. Catastrophe incoming.
Negotiating with Hamas extremely dangerous, things are not as they seem.
I’m not liking the looks of this so-called, “ceasefire”. The question that I keep asking is, “what does Hamas have to gain?” Israel continues to say that after this swap that is to occur, they are still intent on destroying Hamas. Why would Hamas give up 13 bargaining chips that they currently have possession of, and support a ceasefire, knowing that afterwards, they are going to be killed anyway? Hamas isn’t gaining anything from the prisoner release by Israel in exchange for hostages as we have seen that Hamas does not value the lives of Palestinians or anyone else for that matter. I’m just trying to figure out what Hamas plans to gain by doing this. I heard someone on Fox News say that she believed it was desperation on Hamas’s part, but I think that is a gross miscalculation. We are backing Hamas into a corner and that makes them dangerous.
Hamas is not looking to play nice, or stop shooting. They are looking for an opportunity to regroup and hit back. Hamas is not sincere. I can’t believe that Netanyahu considered this at all, unless sees right through the deception. Netanyahu is a very smart guy so I hope that he is on top of this. Only time will tell. I’m going to say that Hamas has no interest in handing over the leverage that keeps Israel from completely flattening Gaza. This leverage forces Israel to continue the slow measured approach that they have been using up to this point, as they don’t want to have hostages become collateral damage. I’m hoping that this is not Netanyahu caving to international pressure. I might be wrong but a ceasefire is usually negotiated and I don’t think that Hamas is going to negotiate away their leverage to hasten their own demise. This will get interesting, don’t blink.
