“What is truth” These were the words muttered by Pontius Pilate just after he asked Jesus about His royal status as a King. KJV from the prophetic Gospel of John:
38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.”
There is something very interesting about Pilate’s response when he is confronted with the word truth. In his view from the perspective of a powerful Roman leader, truth was relative. The powers that be, which resided within the leadership of the Roman Empire believed that they had the authority to make truth whatever they wanted it to be. Pilate acknowledged that he saw no fault in Jesus, but he still ordered His death. Rome’s truth saw no threat from Christ as Jesus said that His kingdom is not of this world, so Jesus was not viewed as a political rival. However, the Pharisees disagreed with this assessment not because Jesus put up political opposition, but because in their eyes He had committed blasphemy. Pilate allowed the Pharisees to have their own reality, even though it was not his and the rest was history.
How does this relate to current events and the social dynamic that we are seeing the last decade or more? This postmodernist era that we live in, where it is acceptable for people to own and live their private reality, while everyone else is forced to accept their warped interpretation of reality. You have Jacques Derrida to thank for this concept. Derrida’s theory of deconstruction aimed to define the relationship between text and its underlying meaning. Derrida questioned the relevance of logo-centrism and binary opposition and subscribed to the existence of an abstract or fluid quality that does not align with what is. We are seeing this with gender now. Derrida’s theory here is a form of Neo-Marxism that expands on Marx’s conflict theory, as it produces many warring tribes among the populace that distracts the masses from recognizing the real enemy, that being the central planners that seek absolute power.
There is an argument put up by atheists that religion is not required for a person to develop a moral compass. But if you do not have an absolute standard for morality, or in this case, true North on a compass, how do you find your way and what direction do you go. God is the ultimate standard for morality and Jesus walked the earth for 33 years so that mankind could see what real love and compassion looks like.
A man’s moral tenants are a product of his environment, and the community in which he is raised. A child growing up in 1939 Nazi Germany is brought up believing that it is moral to murder Jews by the millions. A remote civilization that practices cannibalism feels that consuming human meat is acceptable and moral. This is why God must be part of every society, because people cannot be trusted to create their own version of morality. We live in the flesh and the flesh can be tempted an manipulated by Satan. Only those that can walk in the spirit despite our physical limitations, can function in a truly moral fashion and be fit for God’s Kingdom. Everyone worships something, be it a god, or some other comfort piece that they can turn to when the going gets tough. This is why authoritarians make it a priority to eliminate God from the minds and spirit of the citizenry. Without our God in Heaven, government then assumes the role of god. This is why absolute Truth in Jesus Christ is so important, and it also shows us the reason why we have fallen into this godless society that turns away from God while acting at the pleasure of demonic forces.
What is true, is universal truth. God is the standard. People do not get to fabricate their own reality. To call a man a woman or a woman a man, or to condone sodomy with other homosexual activity or gay marriage, is a direct attack on God Almighty Himself. If you don’t want to hear it, TOUGH! Freedom of speech is alive and well here in America and if my faith in God bothers you can buy a plane ticket to somewhere else that doesn’t value freedom of expression. To conclude, GOD BLESS AMERICA! Never stop fighting for Truth!
